Show Bryce Valley Defeats Wayne By John Yardley The Bryce Valley Mustangs won a tough road game at Wayne last Friday night, enabling them to stay tied for the league lead in Division Di-vision 1 of Region 12. BV had a hard-fought battle in Bickncll before be-fore coming out on top 59-55. Wayne seems to be improving every ev-ery game, and at home, were exceptionally good on this night. The Badgers led 29-28 at half-time, half-time, in a pretty low scoring game. The Mustangs stayed in and worked to keep the game close. BV was not able to pull away far enough to rest Clare Ramsay's basketball ulcer ul-cer until the final minute. The score was tied at 53 a piece, before the Mustangs converted to take the win 59-55. Eric Stout paced the Mustangs with 15 points, followed by Brayton Talbot with 13 and Trevor Stewart with 11. This week Bryce Valley has two of their toughest games of the season. sea-son. They are hooked up in a three-way three-way tie for first with Piute and Valley in the Division and have a chance to eliminate some of the company at the top as they host Piute Friday night. Saturday, the Mustangs make the long trip to play Enterprise, a team that has been very good at home this season. sea-son. A couple of wins this week for Bryce Valley would stamp them even more solidly as a contender for the Region 12 crown. |
