Show Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowdcr and Karleta Riggs attended the funeral in Cedar City for Verda Slack, Karl's oldest sister. They also visited vis-ited Mr. and Mrs. Bert Felstead, Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Riggs visited vis-ited Mr. and Mrs. Robert Craw, Minersville; Mr. and Mrs. William Riggs, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Riggs; and Mr. and Mrs. Don Ross, Enoch. Janell Duckett is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Barney. Bar-ney. Elaine Sawyer and Vanita Sawyer took Jeff Sawyer and Eric Sawyer to St. George to spend the New Year holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Nile Sawyer went to St. George to visit Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Savage, then on to Las Vegas to visit the Robert Palmer family. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowdcr and Mr. and Mrs. Darol Allred of St. George went to Las Vegas to pick up Mary Beth Bailey and Mindy Bailey of Anchorage, Ala. Carla Sawyer visited in LaVcrkin with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Humphries. Speakers in LDS . sacrament meeting" were Estclla Riggs and Orlas Riggs. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wilson during the holidays was the Will Lane family of Page, Ariz. Winners of the Christmas Lighting Contest, were Francis Porter, first place; Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Barney, second place; and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Barney, third place. The contest was sponsored by the Hatch town board. Visiting May Sawyer during the Hatch News holidays were Valcene Roberts and family, Antimony; Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Sawyer and family; and the Kent Sawyer family of Cedar City. The Karl Lowdcrs report things are really quiet at their place since all their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren left. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Lowdcr went back to Goldhill, Ore.; Velta Sawyer, Vancta Sawyer, Mary Beth Bailey, and Mindy Bailey back to Anchorage, Anchor-age, Ala.; Laretta Crofts to Or-dcrville; Or-dcrville; the Ron Riggses to Panguitch; Pan-guitch; the Joseph Lacartis to Kanab; the Bent Mackelprangs to Frcdonia, Ariz.; and the Don Brushes to Phoenix. Word was received that Abbie Fallis is in the hospital at Bancock, Ida., where she is reported improved. im-proved. Mr. and Mrs. Layton Barney went to Riverside, Calif., to visit their daughter and son-in-law Mr. . and Mrs. Vic Gordon. Visiting the Garth Heaps were the Wallace Heaps, Jeffery Heap, Jill Heap, Dustin Heap and Ashley Heap of Cedar City; the Rick Lunts, Deanna Heap, Camille Heap, Brandon Heap, Britmey Heap and Taylor Heap of West Valley City; the Lloyd LeFevres of Panguitch; Pan-guitch; and Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Goulding and Sheral Sawyer of Henrieville. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Evans spent a week visiting their children, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Hamblin, Eager, Ariz., and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Evans, Springerville, Ariz. The Kent Sawyers, Cedar City, visited May Sawyer over the weekend, week-end, then May went back to Cedar City to stay a week. Francis Porter won first prize for Christmas lights; LaMar Barney, second; and Craig Barney, third. JancI Duckett, Halls Crossing, visited the LaMar Barneys for a few days. |
