He was born June 3, 1892, Circleville, Cir-cleville, to Chester William and Sarah Gottfredson Allen. He married mar-ried Alice Wilson, Jan. 19, 1927, Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Sept. 1, 1988. He graduated from Circleville High School and LDS Business College. He served as Piute County Sheriff for eight years; served an LDS mission to Kentucky from 1918 to 1920. He had been a counselor coun-selor in the Circleville LDS Ward bishopric and was high priest group leader. He portrayed John The Baptist in the movie, "The Greatest Story Ever Told." Survivors: daughters, son, Mrs. G. Woodard (Gwen) Sandberg, Cedar City; Bruce, Salt Lake City; Mrs. J. K. (Sandra) Tebbs, Trcmonton; Mrs. Thomas N. (Jctta) Huber, Anchorage, Alaska; Mrs. Keith (Mauna Lee) Proctor, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, sister, Lee, Mrs. Jessie Werner, both Circleville. Funeral services were Wednesday Wednes-day in the Circleville First LDS Ward chapel with Bishop Roger Wcstwood, officiating. Irvin Bruce Allen offered the family prayer; Nadine F. Allen played prelude and postludc music and Keith W. Proctor Proc-tor gave the invocation. Speakers were Gwen A. Sandberg, Sand-berg, Alan Maynes and Mauna A. Proctor with remarks by Bishop Wcstwood. Music included selections by the congregation and medley by Cliarlcen Dalton, Terecea West-wood West-wood and Kim Dalton. Dr. Kyle Tebbs gave the benediction. Interment was in the Circleville Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where G. Woodard Sandberg offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Terrel Sandberg, Sand-berg, Cris Sandberg, Jabe Sandberg, Sand-berg, Eric Sandberg, William D. Allen, Clinton Allen, Irvin Kyle Allen, Martin Allen, Kass Martin Tebbs, Daniel Kyle Tebbs, James Fielding Tebbs, Craig Wilson Tebbs, Phillip Leslie Brewer and Brent Allen Brewer. John D. Dickinson Funeral services for John Dell Dickinson were held Jan. 9 in the Panguitch First LDS Ward chapel with Bishop Joseph G. Black, officiating. offi-ciating. Robert O. Nell Showalter Goulding Nell Showalter Goulding, age 85, died Jan. 2, 1989, in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born May 16, 1903, at Panguitch to J.B. and Blanche Clark Showalter. She attended school in Panguitch where she married Vernal Goulding. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS temple. She and her husband hus-band lived in Phoenix for many years. She is survived by her husband, Phoenix; two sons, Paul, California, Califor-nia, and Jerry, Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Betty Laake, Seattle, Wash.; and 1 1 grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. DuWayne (Ada) Henrie, St' George. Funeral services were held in Phoenix Jan. 5 with graveside services ser-vices held Jan. 6 in the Panguitch City Cemetery. Interment there was under the direction of funeral director direc-tor A.L.
