Show Tropic News Ella Adair Mr. and Mrs. Scott Mecham and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Mecham spent the weekend with the Lowell Mechams. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Francisco were in Provo while Charley had a medical checkup. Barbara Fulmer spent a week in England and Germany with her sister sis-ter Francene. They visited their father fa-ther in Germany before returning home. Francene had just completed her LDS mission in London. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Mecham met their plane when they arrived in Salt Lake City. Ella Adair and Margaret Mecham attended a Garfield County Council on Aging board meeting in Es-calante Es-calante Monday. Clint Mecham is in the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center recovering re-covering from lung surgery. Margaret Mecham was hostess to the Family Home Evening group at her home Monday evening. The LaMar LeFevres attended funeral services for Mary Moody in Delta. She was the mother of Dr. John Moody, former dentist in Panguitch. Tropic cemetery cleanup will be May 9-10. Tropic residents come with your rakes and shovels. Ronald McGee and the Fred Halls visited with Minnie Nielsen and bought supplies for Ron's new home. Tammy Olsen, Rexburg, Ida., is visiting with the Lamar Feltners. Mr. and Mrs. Tim Feltner have a bew baby son born April 25 in Panguitch. Alaska Richards made a trip to Kanab to visit her mother Minnie Smith and brother Thayne Smith. She also visited her daughter Nakole Croft on the way home. Brenda Shakespear spent the weekend with the Clare Ramsays. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Croft were weekend guests at the Floyd Richards home. Mr. and Mrs. Bybee Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Campbell visited with the Afton Pollocks. Debbie Miller spent a few days with the Stan Mechams. Stan and Debbie and Malen Mecham made a trip to Provo to visit Clint Mecham in the hospital. There were many friends and family members from out of town who were in Tropic for the wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. McLain Mecham. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Pollock were in Richfield on business. Mr. and Mrs. Max Stewart at-, tended the missionary farewell in St. George for Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tucker, parents of Phyllis Stewart. Gloria Palmer, Nevada, spent the weekend with her son and daughter-in-law, the Bart Palmers. Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Mortenson visited with the Paul Mangums. The senior citizens will have their monthly dinner tonight at 5:30 in the scout house. William Pollock was home from Zion Canyon over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Sudweeks were in Tropic for a few days. Francene Fullmer gave her mission report in LDS Sacrament meeting. Escalante LDS Stake President Richard Crawford visited theTropic Ward Sunday. Violet Littlefield and Ora Brinkerhoff were in Cedar City on business. Herman Pollock had a friend from Juneau, Ala., visit with him. They went on a trip down in the Cottonwood area hunting for arrowheads. ar-rowheads. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Allen visited with the Royal Alveys. Spending the weekend with the Jack Chynoweths were Mr. and Mrs. Evan Chynoweth, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jo Ott, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Milne. Amber Brinkerhoff, Cherrie Syrett, Barbara Fullmer and Kath-eryn Kath-eryn Syrett wre presented the Young Womanhood Award in LDS Sacrament meeting. Kaelynn Shakespear and son Callahan Shakespear visited with the LaMar Shakespears and the Norm Littlefields for a few days. |
