The tourists help the area's economy and enjoy the beauty of the area as well. Slow walkers are numerous at western mouth of Red Canyon. In Boulder Information j Center To ! Open Soon BOULDER The Garfield Travel Council will open a new in- formation center in Boulder within I the next two weeks. The center will ' be located in a mobile unit at the junction of the Burr Trail with Scenic Highway 12. The information booth will be I stocked with the same brochures ! and materials as all other information informa-tion centers in the county and is expected to handle a substantial number of visitors to the county. Interested potential employees are being sought. The center will be open seven days a week, at least 10 hours a day, during the busy tourist season. The Escalante information center is also undergoing some remodeling and upgrading. The building is being moved back from the sidewalk side-walk to allow room for a porch to be added. A picket fence and landscaping land-scaping will add to its appeal, with sod to be put in place as soon as the move is complete. The project is being undertaken as part of Escalante's beautification project now underway. Various volunteer groups have offered help in completing the center, which will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Employees Employ-ees will be Clella Woolsey and Betty Alvey.
