Show Bill Lowe Named As PHS Music Director Bill Lowe, 34, Springvllle has been named as the new music teacher at Panguitch High School. He replaces Barry Erickson who moved to Rich- Bill Lowe field. Lowe received his primary degree in music with a mathematics minor. He attended Southern Utah State College in Cedar City. Lowe, who married the former Pat Dutton of Henrieville is the father of three sons. In addition to orchestra and band, he has begun two chorus groups, a nine-student group at Panguitch High School and a 40-student unit at the middle school. Lowe spent two years with the Color Country Spectrum as a writer and has had considerable experience as a professional vocalist singing in both tenor and bass range. The last two schools at which he taught were in Thoreau, New Mexico and Kemmerer, Wyo. Lowe says that the longest he has wanted to stay at any school as a teacher has been one year, but he says, this has changed. "I really like it here," he said, "everybody is so friendly and seem to go the extra mile in being helpful. "I intend to spend quite some time here." Lowe says that he plays all instruments but his favorites are the woodwinds, with is favorite single instrument the saxophone. |
