Show -'Soulier Hews - LeNora LeFevre Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Wilson went to Parowan for the wedding reception of Gaden and Jayley Turner Griffin on September 28 the day of their marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Alvey of Wayne County visited at the homes of his sisters Uvada Moosman and Idona Haws. Mr. and Mrs. Max Behunin went to Montrose, Colo, to see Scot and Twila McDonald and grandchildren Scot and Shanon. The Behunins were in Nevada picking up pinenuts. Some of the elk hunters were Val Jean Haws of St. George and -his friends, Dancl Alvey of Cedar City and Larry Coombs of Monroe. Many other hunters came and camped upon the Boulder Mountain. Mary Jane Coombs' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kadera and her mother's sister Herbert and Dana Scholbrock of Minnesota were guests at their home. Guests at Vivian Crosby's home were Jim and Shelly Wilburn and children Kara and Joshua of Los Angeles, Calif. Jim Brady has been to Las Vegas to see his family. Itenon Peterson has been to Payson to see her son Jimmy and family. Max Wilson and friends of Phoenix are at his mountain home, Tony Coleman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Coleman and Celia Poteet, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Poteet were married on October 5 by Marland Richins, Justice of the Peace, of Escalante at 1 p.m. in a garden party at the Boulder Hydro Plant. Madlyn Haws and Michelle Alvey were catering. A beautiful wedding with sunshine, clear sky and in the background the Boulder mountains still in the autumn colors of god, yellow, and red. Those from out of town among the guests were Leah Button, Kanab; Burke Hafen, Salina; Beth Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Barry Barnson and five children, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Poteet, Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Griffin, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Griffin, Mary Lynn Sidwell and children, Mr. and Mrs. Don Coleman and others all from Escalante. |
