Show - Panguilcli Patter - Judy Henrie Mr. and Mrs. Verd (Faye) Wor-then spent the past weekend bet ween Price and Kanab helping to move their granddaughter and her husband Mr. and Mrs. Randy (Janee) Wagner to the Kanab Ranch os area where they own property. Mr. and Mrs. Danny (Karen) Tebbs were in town on Saturday. TTie Tebbs' live in Las Vep.as, Nev. Scott Simkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Simkins and Claude Barney Hatch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hatch are attending Salt Lake Technical College. Mr. and Mrs. Russell (Debbie) Muchlesteiu of Ephraim visited her mrnnto luti. an1 Mr. Vavh Robison. Mr. and Mrs. Champ Henrie spent a few days in Richfield visiting their son Wally Henrie who has been a patient in the Sevier Valley Hospital. Duff Mitchell of Orem visited his in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Frank Henrie and went elk hunting with Frank. Ruby G. Myers is now home after spending six weeks with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Shirlene) Osterlud at Tooele. Visiting her on Friday were her nieces and their husbands Mr. and Mrs. Jim (August Gould) Kilpatrick of Philadelphia, Perm, and Mr. and Mrs. Everett (Marilyn Gould) Wallace of No. Las Vegas, Nev. and Ruby's sister Julia Dewey of Washington City. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Mclnelly were their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Dan (Asenith) Zaleski and two children of Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. Garn (Gwen) Edwards of Salt Lake City spent Saturday visiting at the home of her sister Grace Young. Grace Young and Mary Perkins spent Saturday, Sept. 28 at the home of Grace's daughter Annette Hatch in Koosharem where her other daughter Helen Bird of Richfield joined them to celebrate Annette's birthday. Later Helen took her mother Grace and Mary to Fishlake and the surrounding areas to see the beautiful fall colors in all their splendor. Veda Moss of St. George has returned home after spending two weeks visiting here at the home of her sister Norma Crompton. Alfia Josie is a patient at the lospital with pneumonia. Rita Heywood was sustained as genealogy leader in the Panguitch Third Ward meeting and Sherron Jacobs was graduated from Primary on Sunday, Sept. 29. Attending the funeral of their uncle Doyle Smith in Kanab were Dorthy Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith, Delilah Smith, Lora Dawn Stock of Cannon ville; Jerry Smith and Elaine Thorup of West Valley City;. and Mr. and Mrs. Reid Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Smith ol Santaquin; Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Arva) Frandsen; Mamie Talbot; Mr. and Mrs. Verd Worthen of Panguitch; Estella Riggs of Hatch and Grover Smith of Circleville. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Proctor have returned home after visiting with their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry (Shana Rae) Witters at Caliente, Nev. Opal Norton of Salt Lake City is visiting at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (Beverly) Goulding. Mildred Linford is visiting at the home of her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Linford at Las Vegas, Nev. Colleen Miller and her daughters Nanette, Melissa and Jolene visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaNord Johnson at Orderville. Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Stewart have moved to Salt Lake City so they can be nearer to their son Jeffrey's doctors. Mr. and Mrs. Gale" Wilcock have been to Salt Lake City where Gale kept a doctors appointment. Gai has retired as the cook at the Senior Citizen's Center. Mr. and Mrs. John Seamon have moved to Cedar City where he has taken a new assignment with Zion's Bank. We wish them luck in their new endeavors. David Ipson the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don L. Ipson has received his mission call to the Columbus, Ohio mission. He will enter the Missionary Training Center on December 12. He is the grandson of the late Don and Myrtle Ipson and Mr. and Mrs. Layton Barney of Hatch. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Henrie received word her mother Vivian Peterson Howes of Circleville has received her mission call to the Georgia Atlanta mission. She will enter the Missionary Training Center on December 11. Attending the National Daughters of the Utah Pioneer Convention held in Salt Lake City Friday, Oct. 4 at the Hotel Utah were Merle Stowell, Mamie Talbot, Opal Miller, Hope Goulding, Alda Cooley and Cln Clark. Merle stayed at the home of her son and his wife, Dr. and Mrs. Donald Stowell. Mamie stayed with her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Talbot. Hope stayed with. her nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Worthen. Opal stayed with her sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Orton. Alda and Cleo stayed with Alda's daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Leon (Rea) Allsop. Before returning home Opal visited at Heber City with her daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Perry (Carolyn) Rose. On the way home Mamie visited with her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Talbot at Orem. The District DUP meet will be held Friday, October 11 at Kanab. Jared Frandsen the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Frandsen was hurt while riding a motorcycle requiring several stitches in his forehead. Hope Goulding attended the open house for Fawn (Hancock) Goulding ' on the occasion of her 80th birthday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Verd Worthen drove the minibus to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wilcock went for Gale's doctor appointment. Mary Partridge and Lyle Miller also went for doctor appointments. Gale and Gai stayed at the home of her sister Mr. and Mrs. Orvel (Edith) Hatch. Mary and Lyle ttayed in Bountiful with Mary's son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Partridge. Verd and Faye stayed at the home of her sister Mr. and Mrs. Olbery (Idona) Barker in Bountiful. On the return trip home they went up Emigration Canyon over to Park City had lunch in Orem and bought apples at Santaquin. The canyons were beautiful and it was fun to travel with friends. Maxlne Crosby spent the past Vweek visiting at the home of her daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Philip (Jeaneal) Bailey in Mlnersville and with her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Crosby at Cedar City. On Sunday, the Baileys visited her parents and his mother Dorajean Bailey who is a patient in the hospital here. LaVenda Moore visited in Reno, Nev. for several days with her aunt LaVenda Challender who is very ill. She also spent time with Cliff, Robert and Carolee Challender. Mr. and Mrs. Kirk (LaVenda) Moore, Vernon Reid, Carol Ann Spencer, and Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Bangerter traveled to Challis, Ida. for the funeral of Sherma Reid. Many friends and relatives attended graveside services held October 6 in Panguitch. |
