Show - Tropic Topics - Ella Adair Margaret Shakespeare and Marian Shakespear, Margaret Mecham, Margie Mecham and LaRene Munson spent a day in St. George attending LDS temple session and doing some shopping. Amplus LeFevre has returned home after spending a few weeks in Bountiful with son Kenneth and family. Daughter Glenna Pollock brought her home. Viva Mecham was hostess for the Family Home Evening Group Monday evening. Mr, and Mrs. Malen Littlefield spent two days in Moab taking the Bridges, Dead Horse Point and other points of interest. Elise Ott fell and received severe bruises to her face and head as she hit the wall in her living room. Le'dla Ott accompanied her to Panguitch for medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Pollock (LaFaun) were in Salt Lake City for medical checkups. Kim Alvey and family visited his parents the Royal Alveys. Truie Allen and Margaret Mecham were in Panguitch on business. Word was received of the death of Manilla Campbell, a former Tropic resident. Funeral services were held in Springdale, Oct. 5. Attending the services from Tropic were Jeannene Pollock, Peggy Palmer, Mr. and Mrs. Clive Bybee, Mr. and Mrs. Larvin Pollock and Mr. and Mrs. Bcrdell Barton. The Clive Bybees visited daughter Kae Lynn and family in Salina, son Gary in Santa Clara and son and daughter Sharron and Aaron in Washington and St. George. Margaret Shakespeare enjoyed an overnight visit from her parents from New Mexico. The Lady Lions met Thursday evening. A quilt was started for their hospital project. Hostesses were Ella Adair and Betty Henderson. Marian Shakespeare spent a few days this week in Salt Lake City. Visiting with Ora Brinkerhoff were daughters Oretta, Louise and Rose. Margie Bee is employed at Grand Canyon for two weeks, helping close out the cabins. The Lions Club Deer Hunter Ball will be at the high school, Oct. 17. LaMar LeFevre and Robert Bradley were welcomed Into the Bryce Lions Club as new members. June Shakespeare spent a few days with her daughter Joann and family, getting acquainted with the new grandson. Sandra Madson spent a day with the Reed LeFevres. , ' The monthly meeting of the Garfield County on Aging has been postponed on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. in Escalante. Several of the Tropic ladies are continuing with their hydro-therapy class. Any one interested in joining the group ,should call Evadean Francisco or Ella Adair. They meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at Ruby's Inn pool. |
