Show Hatch Happenings Neva Lowder A large group of Senior Citizens from here joined with the Seniors in Panguitch at the Social Hall for a delicious dinner program and dancing. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Evans joined with her father and brother Kendall and Gerald Gifford in helping entertain with their musical talent. Helping Reva Lowder celebrate her birthday with a dinner and attending church were Velta Sawyer and girls, Kanab; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bailey, Miner-sville; Mr. and Mrs. Ron Riggs and girls, Panguitch and Revas mother Velma Huntington. . . A lovely program and dinner was enjoyed in the cultural hall to celebrate the birthday of the Relief Society. Maggie Bar-nhurst was honored for her long years of work in the Relief Society. Her brother Orver Sanders, Hurricane entertained with his antique relics, poems and other things of interest. Other members of Maggie's family there were Owen's wife, Thora and daughter Jerry, Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Sanders, Lucille and Emma Rae Humpheries and Delma Dutton, all Hurricane; Mr. and Mrs. June Sanders, Panguitch. Speakers in sacrament meeting were Clyde Davis and Norman McKee, stake leaders. Their families accompanied them to church. A special song, "Tell Me the Story of Jesus," was sung by the congregation. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Evans and three grandchildren visited in Logandale, Nevada with their sons Kirk and Gary and families. Also in St. George with the Vaughn Evans. Velma Huntington accompanied them to St. George to visit Oliver. The Ron Russells and Casey Dix, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Dix and grand-chidlren, April and Kristy Barabas, Panguitch came to visit the Russells and Casey and to bring Velma home. Mr. and Mrs. David Sawyer went to Richfield to visit the Ken Roberts. Kent Sawyer went with Robert Tebbs, Panguitch to St. George. Clara and Kenneth Palmer and Brian Mackelprang, Nevada visited the Nile and the David Sawyers. Other visitors with Nile and Carma. were their grandchildren Rodney and Jolyn Savage. They took the children to their home in Antimony. Clara Palmer accompanied them there. Doyle Hancock spent time visiting relatives in Veyo. He received word his mother Cleora Chatburn is very ill in Calif. Mr. and Mrs. James Larkin and children, Hurricane visited with her grandmother, Beth Mangum and aunt Afton Hancock. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Hill, Gunnison visited Mrs. Effel Riggs for the weekend, then she accompanied them to Gunnison to visit, awhile. The Gib Clarks, Kanab and the Bruce Dal tons, Panguitch visited during the weekend with the Grant Daltons. Visiting the Lamar Barneys were Janell Barney and Kenneth Barney. Shauna Woodard, Dixie College was home for the spring vacation with her' folks the Alvin Wilhelms. Shirley Wilhelm and Maggie Barnhurst went to Richfield on business. Carla Sawyer and children visited in Kanab with the Vay Sawyer family. Dallas Barnhurst went to Salt Lake City over the weekend and brought Diane and children home after they had visited her folks for several weeks. Idonna and Rose Elaine Deuel took Val Dean Deuel and friend Nancy, Cedar City to California for several days visit with the Lavor Deuels. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Evans returned home last week after visiting the Deloy Evans in Hurricane and helped welcome a new grandson, born to Deloy and Jolene, March 9. LaVal Sawyer and brother Vay went to New Jersey with LaVals truck most of last week for Arizona Fuels. . 1 1 iiiimmmti |
