Show Starr Spring Access To Be Resurfaced Improvement of the access road to Starr Spring Recreation Area in Garfield County began March 19, according to Donald L. Pendleton, Richfield district manager of the Bureau of Land Management. The existing road to the recreation area will be realigned and resurfaced with gravel. Approximately 60 to 90 days will be required for construction, during which time the road will be blocked to public access ' during daylight hours. Starr Spring Recreation area is located about four miles off Utah Highway 276 in the Henry Mountains. The area has a 12-unit campground and is adjacent to the historic site of Starr Ranch. The BLM office in Hanksville can provide information to the public regarding access to Starr Springs Recreation Area. |
