Born in Romania, she moved with her parents to Israel when she was 2, soon after Israels independence in 1948. His friends, all couples, don't want him to be alone and spend a good deal of time trying to convince him to go to the alter. There is a distinct New York feel to the show, in particular in the song, Another Hundred People," where Marta describes the plight of the young single woman in Gotham. "Company" received the Drama Critics Award as best musical of 1909-70- .
