Show Marilyn Beck Utah State Fair music winners announced Winners of the annual Utah State Music Competition have been announced. A record number of 286 competitors took part in the contests, which were staged Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Symphony Hall, the University of Utah, Daynes Music Co., and St. Mark's Cathedral. Competition took place in various age divisions in six categories: organ, voice, instrumental ensembles, piano, strings and winds. Winners of the composition contest will be announced at a later date. The winners include.
