Trujillo’s ‘Entangled Voices” deals with aspects inherent in relationships between mothers, daughters and sisters. The dancers assume each of these roles throughout the work, a situation that imitates real life, Trujillo said. The dance is composed ofsix choreographed statements about women:theirlives, relationships, unique qualities, foibles, beliefs and trials. Pat Debenham has basedhis “Vignettes: Women in Black” —- with music by a variety of composers including Cole Porter — around a collection of vintage black dresses he has Kathy Debenham’s ‘For Those Whose Books Will Yet Be Written” will feature live piano and vocal accompaniment by Lisa Arrington, who has spentseveral years coliecting andarrangingearly Latterday Saint hymns. The danceis an interpretive tribute to the strength of women and their contributions to the community, said Debenham, who choreographed the work aspart of the Utah state centennial celebration.
