Show Safety near trucks urged by council Centerville City Youth Council would like to point out to parents and children the dangers of playing around garbage trucks. For your children's safety they need to know not to chase behind or run alongside the truck. Children need to stay away from the trucks when the can is being dumped and the grabbers are opened. They should wait to retrieve their garbage can until after the truck has pulled away and should never try to throw things into the truck. These are safety rules which young children should know and follow. The youth council points out that in the state of Utah, just in the past several months, a young child has already been killed by a garbage gar-bage truck. |
