Show Volunteers still needed KAYSVILLE There is still time to volunteer to help with the Second Annual Human Race, an activity ac-tivity sponsored by the DATC to benefit the Turning Point program. The race will be held Saturday, May 4 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the DATC. Volunteers are needed to help set up and take down tables, register participants, guide runners along the race courses and into the finish chutes and help organize the runners. A meeting for volunteers will be held Wednesday, April 24 at 6 p.m. in room C-160 at the DATC. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Turning Point at 546-4134, Extension 322. All volunteers vol-unteers who attend the meeting will receive a "Human Race" T-shirt free. Turning Point also needs food for the bake sale and items in good condition for the flea market. Proceeds Pro-ceeds from these activities will be used for the Maggie Borup Memorial Scholarship fund. Major sponsors for the Human Race are Ail-American Gourmet, Pepsi Cola and Barnes Banking Company. |
