Show r . JPTA to hear Brock SALT LAKE CITY Former U.S. Secretary of Labor William E. Brock will be the keynote speaker for the annual Job Training Partner-j Partner-j ship Act (JTPA) Conference lun cheon to be held April 29, at Little America in Salt Lake City. Brock served in the Reagan administration ad-ministration from 1981 to 1985 as United States Trade Representative, Trade Policy advisor, and served from 1985 to 1987 as secretary of labor. He served four terms in the House of Representatives and was elected senator from Tennessee in 1970. As current chairman of the U.S. Department of Labor's Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills, Brock has issued a call for the U.S. I to commit as a society to prepare 1 every young person, in or out of ! school, for high performance work, and to encourage employers to reorganize re-organize work in more productive ways. The JTPA Conference is held in conjunction with the Governor's Conference on Economic Development. De-velopment.
