Show H I ' 4 ERNA MAE HATCHER Hatcher to celebrate 94th FARMINGTON In 1986, Farmington became the home of Ema Mae Hatcher, a well-loved and respected member of the community communi-ty who will be celebrating her 94th birthday on April 26. To honor Hatcher, who was bom on April 26, 1897, her family is planning a small birthday party to be held on April 27. After 60 years in the Los Angeles area, Hatcher moved to Fannington to live with her grandson. Her legacy now includes three grandchildren, grand-children, 1 1 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Hatcher continues to participate in ceramic classes at the Golden Years Center and is an active volunteer vol-unteer each Friday in the kitchen. The American Legion Auxiliary remains fortunate to have Hatcher as an active member. "Ema Mae, at the age of 88, retired from working in the credit department of the Hilton Hotel chain in Los Angeles. Her mind is bright and alert and she is very well groomed. To all she is known as a "lady who is a model of graciousness for all to follow," stated a friend, Dorothy Willey. "Ema Mae attributes her health and long life to her positive attitude toward life," explained Willey. |
