Show Many families turning to eating more turkey With today's emphasis on eating light, more and more families are eating turkey, indicates Shannon Peterson Edgel, Homemakers Schools home economist. She suggests sug-gests preparing a turkey breast if family members enjoy turkey but don't want to face days of leftovers. This economical light meat is sized just right for five to eight people. Turkey Breast With Acorn Squash, cooked in a REYNOLDS Oven Cooking Bag, is the prefect substitute for a whole turkey according accor-ding to Edgel. The acorn squash and onions cook in the same bag to produce a complete meal. The results are tender and flavorful. Edgel adds cranberry sauce and a salad to round out the menu. TURKEY BREAST WITH ACORN SQUASH IT flour 1 large size (14" x 20") REYNOLDS Oven Cooking Bag 1 T margarine or butter, melted 12 tsp. poultry seasoning 14 tsp. paprika 4-6 pound turkey breast, thawed 2 medium acorn squash, cut in quarters 3 medium onions, quartered 1 clove garlic, minced 12 tsp. marjoram leaves Salt and pepper Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Shake flour in REYNOLDS Oven Cooking Bag; place in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Combine melted margarine, poultry seasoning and paprika. Brush turkey breast with margarine mixture. Place turkey breast in bag. Place acom squash and onions in bag around turkey. Sprinkle vegetables with garlic, marjoram, salt and pepper. Close bag with nylon tie; cut 6 half-inch slits in top. Insert meat thermometer through slit in bag into thickest part of turkey but not touching bone. Bake 1-34 to 2-34 hours or until meat thermometer registers 175 degrees.
