Two years ago, Garth's younger brother Ryan, now 13, had a kidney transplant operation. Because the Kidney Foundation helped his brother, Garth decided to collect aluminum and donate the money earned to the Utah Chapter of the National Kidney Foundation. All that aluminum gave the foundation over $105. Reynold's brought a collection truck to the Black home to weigh the aluminum. 'It was great to see the money they raised, through so much hard work, go to a good cause, said Cara Cahoon of Reynold's Aluminum Recycling Company. Both Garth and Ryan were there when the truck came. The Black family, friends, and other members of the community helped gather the cans throughout the six-month period. Reynold's Aluminum Recycling Company spent the afternoon of October 24 at Garth Black's home picking up the 332 pounds of aluminum he and his family and friends raised for the Kidney Foundation. Shown here are Garth Black, his brother Ryan (with blonde hair) and Reynold's Bountiful buyer, Raylin Harrison. |
