Show Recycling guidelines Basic requirements for recycling are: 1. Rinse out all containers (an absolute necessity). 2. Flatten as much as possible (this means a lot more can be collected col-lected before another trip to the recyclers). 3. Remove all lids (metal lids can be included with the appropriate cans). 4. Don't worry about labels. They can be left on. The Recycling Center can recycle the following: Three kinds of plastic only: 1. Soap containers plastic bottles that shampoo, conditioner, dishwashing soap, liquid laundry soap, bleach, etc., come in. Absolutely Ab-solutely no food containers of any kind. 2. Two-liter soda jugs (absolutely nothing else in this section). 3. Milk jugs-(that's all.) Aluminum cans. (If you have larger pieces of aluminum, take to the Reynolds Aluminum truck at Five Points Mall.) Smash first. Other cans. (Magnets will stick to these, take out both ends and smash.) Newspapers. (Anything that comes inside a newspaper is OK, but no string, phone books, paper bags, etc.) Glass. (Sort: clear, brown and green.) Corrugated cardboard. (Nothing else, please.) |
