Show Fred Shurtliff Fred Agren Shurtliff, 85, died . 8, 1992 at his home in Orem. He was bom March 16, 1906 in Harrisville, Utah, a son of Charles Jonathan and Emaline Agren Shurtliff. He married Vella Briggs, Aug. 4, 1934 in Reno, Nev. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was active in the LDS Church and served a mission in the Central States as a young man. He served two missions with his wife in the Southern States from 1970-73. He served as a temple worker in the Provo Temple for eight years. He is survived by his wife Vella, Orem; one son and four daughters: Freda Eldon, Santa Ana. Calif.: JoAnn Farrer, Provo; Carolyn Faldmo, Orem; Stephen, Bountiful; Nancy Reynolds, Orem; 21 grandchildren, grand-children, 13 great-grandchildren, a brother and a sister; Orla Shurtliff, Mesa, Ariz.; Pearl Liljenquist, Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother; Ida Hoffman, Thelma Mc-Culloch, Mc-Culloch, Alfred Shurtliff, Bertha Shurtliff. Funeral services held Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Sharon Park 5th Ward LDS Chapel, 150 E 600 N., Orem. Interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the LDS Missionary fund. |
