Show Yeamann's fund-raising schedule announced The fund-raising schedule for Matthew Yeamann has recently been released. Yeamann is a four-year-old Davis County resident suffering from hystiocytosis, a disease which affects the body tissue, bones, blood and organs. To treat the disease, he has been on chemotherapy since he was three months old. Now, doctors at University of California Los Angeles Medical Center say his last hope may be a bone marrow transplant. Yeamann's eight-year-old sister, Erin, has been matched to be a donor but the operation cannot take place until the family raises $200,000 to cover the expense. Matthew Yeamann fund-raisers will be held on the following dates: Wednesday, Feb. 12: Candy Campus Children's ' Center, Layton, will hold a hop-a-thon among children aged 2 to 5 years. Saturday, Feb. 15: Public Auction at Clearfield Job Corps, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All items were donated new. Wednesday, Feb. 19: Lee's Cafe, 500 South and 500 West, Bountiful, will donate all of its proceeds from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. to the Yeamann fund. Saturday, Feb. 22: The public is invited to take part in a shoot which will begin at 9 a.m. at the Wasatch Shooters Range in Fruit Heights For more information on the shoot, contact Jan Cunningham at the Da County Sheriffs Office, 451-4100. W( Friday, Feb. 28: Benefit dinner and dance at the Wellington House, 24th and Grant, Ogden. Tickets for the event are $50. Contact Bob Yeamann, 451-4100. Every Tuesday: Sills Cafe in Layton will donate its proceeds from Tuesday sales to Matthew Yeamann. Jiffy Stop in Layton and Clearfield will also donate five cents for every drink they sell. |
