Barlow Bar-low St., Clear field, has been named senior noncommissioned noncommis-sioned officer of the quarter. Schwirtz is a squadron training systems manager with the 2849th Civil Engineering Squadron Squad-ron at Hill AFB. The selection was based on the individual's indi-vidual's exemplary duty performance, job knowledge, leadership qualities, significant self-improvement self-improvement and other accomplishments. Neil J. Saylor Army Reserve Pvt. Neil J. Saylor, son of Karen Christensen of 1095 S. 225 E.,Kays-ville, E.,Kays-ville, and Dennis Saylor of Salt Lake City, has completed a combat engineer course at the U.S. Army Training Center Cen-ter at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. During the course, students were trained in the techniques of road and bridge building, camouflage and demolition. They also received instruction instruc-tion in combat squad tactics as well as in the use of infantry weapons. He is a 1987 graduate gradu-ate of Davis High School. Flake of 3043 S. 975 E., Bountiful, has graduated from the U.S. Air Force electronic elec-tronic warfare counter-measures specialist special-ist course at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Graduates of the course studied radar detection principles and electronic warning warn-ing systems, and earned credits toward to-ward an associate degree de-gree in applied science scien-ce through the Community Com-munity College of the Air Force. Stanton D. Mayo Sgt. Stanton D. Mayo, son of Robert H. and Katharina Mayo of San Antonio, Anto-nio, Tex., has re-enlisted re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at Lackland Lack-land Air Force Base, Tex., for four, years. Mayo is a military training instructor with the 3704th Basic Military Training Squadron. His wife, Patricia, is the daughter of Joe R. Gonzales of 205' N. 1350 E., Layton and Diga Pooler of Fort Worth, Tex. He is a 1980 graduate gradu-ate of Layton High School. M. G. Cady volved with monitoring monitor-ing aviators' flight plans and controlling Army airfields. He is a 1985 graduate gradu-ate of Bountiful High School. I Richard W. Subjects students studied through classroom clas-sroom and on-site training included aircraft air-craft recognition, interpretation in-terpretation of weather reports, airfield air-field operations, flight records, unit administration and tactical operation. Smith was recently promoted prom-oted to the rank of Senior Airman. He is a reservist assigned to the 419th Civil Engineering En-gineering Squadron, Hill Air Force Base, as a heating systems apprentice. He is the son of Albert E. Smith, a Technical Sergeant in the reserve, Layton, and Mrs. Merle L. Smith of Palo Verda, Calif. Airman Smith resides re-sides in Sunset. In civilian life, the airman is a cook for the All American Gourmet in Clearfield. M.D. Greenwood Air Force Reserve Airman 1st class Michael D. Greenwood, Green-wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Palmer of 1202 N. 250 E., Layton, has graduated gradu-ated from Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Tex. Brough of 805 S. 300 E., Centerville, has completed an aircraft structural repair course at the U.S. Army Transportation School, Fort Eustis, Va. During the training, train-ing, students studied the inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures pro-cedures used in the repair of Army aircraft. air-craft. Galassle of 935 E. 3000 N., Layton, has completed an Infantry Infan-try officer basic course at the U.S. Army Infantry School, Fort Ben- ning, Ga. Students received instruction in leadership, leader-ship, personnel, intelligence, in-telligence, map and air photo reading, operations, logistics, tactical communications communica-tions and weapons.
