Show Quist granted one year administrative leave FARMINGTON Ross Quist, Principal at Centerville Elementary Elemen-tary School, was granted one year of administrative leave to work on a doctorate degree at USU. This action was taken by, the Board of Education at their April 19 meeting. The board vote was four to one with Bob Thurgood casting the negative vote. Mr. Thurgood explained he was opposed to anv sabbatical leave be cause he believed it was unfair to spend taxpayers' money on leaves of absence. He also stated that many educators choose to gain advanced degrees by attending school in the evenings and during the summer. Board members Henry Heath and Louenda Downs felt administrative adminis-trative leaves such as the one requested re-quested by Mr. Quist were great investments for little money spent. |
