Show Tohn Cobauffh Tr. SUNSET John Cobaugh Jr., 66, of 1831 N. 200 W., died Tuesday, Tues-day, April 26, 1988 at the McKay-Dee McKay-Dee Hospital Center of a heart attack. He was born Sept. 13, 1921 in New Carlisle, Clark, Ohio, a son of John and Eliza Annie Smith Cobaugh. On Dec. 17, 1945, he married Darlene Mae Beeslcy in Sunset. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in February Feb-ruary of 1970. He was employed for Swift and Company for 17 years. He worked for the Utah State Department of Agriculture as a meat inspector, retiring re-tiring in 1987. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Sunset 2nd LDS Ward where he had been a first counselor in the bishopric and a counselor in the High Priest and Elders quorum. He was president of the Clearfield Clear-field Senior Citizen Club. He was active in the Boy Scout program and had been awarded the Silver Beaver and Order of the Arrow. Surviving are his widow of Sunset, Sun-set, one son and four daughters, John Randy Cobaugh, Layton; Mrs. David (Catheryn) White, Layton; Mrs. Ray (Carolyn) How-er, How-er, Sunset; Mrs. Kenneth (Sherry) Claywell, Berlin, Germany; Mrs. Russell (Jacquline) Van Meeteren, Plain City; eight grandchildren, one great-grandson. Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Charles Cobaugh, Layton; Mrs. Helen Davis, Memphis, Mem-phis, Tenn. Services were held Friday, April 29 at the Sunset 2nd LDS Ward with Bishop Leon Nelson officiating. officiat-ing. Funeral directors, Myers Mortuary Mor-tuary of Roy. Interment was in the Memorial Gardens of Wasatch. Military honors hon-ors were accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. |
