Show WXHS Cat Chat By JOANNA MOODY Howdy dear Wildcats and i friends! It's true that the year is winding down and consequently, this year's wonderfully awesome (if I may say that) studentbody officers have become "Lame Ducks" if you know what I mean. The new studentbody officers for 1988-89 are: Paul Benson, president; pres-ident; Lee Wright, 1st vice; Eric Dixon, 2nd vice; Suzette Mordue, secretary; Missy Larson, artist; Danna Redmond, historian; Chadd Watson, photographer; and Rob Kime, publicity manager. The new officers are looking forward to a super year. Good luck! Tonight there will be a Show Choir Festival at Bountiful High at 7:30 p.m. where our choir will be participating. Be there! Region track will be held here at WX today and tomorrow and on the 6th and 7th, our boys' tennis team will be participating in region tennis. Good luck Wildcats! May 5 is the date that is scheduled sche-duled for all of the "honorable" people of WX to gather at 6:30 p.m. for the National Honor Society banquet. The food will be splendid and the entertainment superb. Get excited! On May 6, our baseball team plays at Davis at 3:30 and that night at 7:30, our soccer team will favor us with a fine performance against the Davis Darts. On May 9, come see future movie, rock and super stars unfold before your very eyes as you witness wit-ness the talent assembly at 1:15. It will be interesting, to say the least. On the night of the 9th, the PTA will be sponsoring Traditions of Excellence IV where anyone can come and see some of the finer things of Woods Cross High. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Nobody will want to miss this one! The 10th is basically a sports day because we have baseball, Highland High-land at WX at 3:30, soccer, WX at Highland at 3:30; and region track for sophomores at East High. Fun, fun, fun! We love all of our sports teams! The wonderful student of the week is none other than Traci Beckstrand. Traci is one of our cheerleaders, the president of the . National Forensics League, a member of Thespians, and a member mem-ber of the National Honor Society. In her spare time, she likes to dance, play the piano, pack meat at Feller's, and hang out at fabric stores. She plans to attend Utah State University on a four-year Presidential scholarship and major in fashion merchandising or interior in-terior design. Traci will graduate from WXHS with a 3.96 gpa (now that's impressive!). She hopes to drive a Jaguar, travel extensively, own Barbados, and meet a man resembling Charlie Sheen to share her wealth with. Traci is one heck of a fantastic person. per-son. She likes WX because of the creative architecture and color scheme, but more importantly, she like the people! Happy Mother's Day on May 8 and have an extraordinary week! |
