Show Tag your big game animal at time of kill Be sure to tag your big animal an-imal at the time of kill. This reminder was issued by the Utah Department of Fish and Game as early big game seasons are now underway. Violations of the tagging law make up a major portion of the fish and game violations each year. The following information infor-mation was listed for hunters to remember when they go afield this year. Have with you at all times the regular hunting license, the special permit for any hunt you may take part in, and the proper tags for the hunt. At the time of kill, detach the tag from the special permit or the license, then, using an arrowhead, knife or other tool, cut out the appropriate spaces as the instructions on the tag indicate. Finally, tie the tag securely to the animal. It is unlawful to transport and big game - animal at any time if the animal is not tagged. tag-ged. This includes transportation transporta-tion by foot, horseback or any other means, as well as possession posses-sion in camp, on the road, or at home. The tag must accompany the animal to the locker or where-ever where-ever it is to be processed and remain with the meat until it is completely used. Hunters must take care that big game tags do not become be-come detached from permits or licenses as they will automatically auto-matically be considered invalid. |
