Show Club notes BPW celebrates CEDAR CITY The Sugar Loaf Cafe was the setting for the November meeting of the Cedar City Business & Professional Women's Club. The purpose of the meeting was to inform the members of the National Foundation sponsored by the B.P.W. clubs and to celebrate the birthday of the local club. Blanche LeBaron, chairperson for the evening, explained the purposes of the Foundation, now in its 25th year. She also explained some of the services it provides, and the scholarships and loans it makes available. The Cedar City B.P.W. Club was chartered 45 years ago this November, and several of the charter members are still active. Mary Anker paid honor to two of these women: Mamie Eck and Eula Gardner. She gave a brief history of their accomplishments a and presented each a corsage. The club birthday was further celebrated with a large birthday cake. Blanche Dotson and Berneice Liebhardt also served on the committee for the November meeting. |
