There was some discussion from residents of the area, that such a CEDAR CITY - The Iron County Planning Commission last week recommended zoning changes for four different parcels of land. The recommendations to the County Commission were made alter public hearings in all four instances. The County Commisison must give final approval in all four cases. The first proposal came from Marieluise Horber who owns land north of Brian Head. The Commission recommended that approval be given to divide the four-acre parcel into four one-acre parcels, thus requiring a zone change to Residential-1. Another hearing was conducted on a proposal from Mr. and Mrs. William Behning to change a 60-acre portion change would cause the already poor-quality roads to deteriorate further; however, the Commission ruled that the change would have no adverse effect. However, according to Commission Member David Grimshaw, no more than two parcels can be divided without going through the process of declaring a new subdivision and filing as such. Approval was withdrawn on an earlier approval to change a portion of land in the Gurr Farms Subdivision near Brian Head to Residential-5. According to the Commission, the zone change had been |
