Show Demonstration set Gymnastics squad scheduled to preform CEDAR CITY Members of the Southern Utah State College gymnastics team will present a demonstration of their skills Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. in the college Physical Education Building. "We are using the evening to accomplish several things," Kathryn Berg, SUSC assistant athletic director and gymnastics coach, explains. "We want to help the public learn more about gymnastics and the skills involved. We want to raise some money to help defray our expenses, and we want to use that night to help team members polish their routines." Admission to the evening of women's gymnastics will be $1 for students (including SUSC students) and $1.50 for adults. During the 90 minute show, each of the SUSC gymnastics team, members will perform on the balance beam, uneven parallel bars, or in floor exercise or vaulting. "We have one of our better gymnastics teams this year, and the demonstrations will be an excellent chance for people to learn about the sport. It's very entertaining to watch, and it takes a great deal of work to perfect," Berg indicates. fcilffT ' f SUSC gymnast IS re ml a Shaw |
