Show SPRINGDALE Mrs. Sterling Seegmiller -Reporter A P.-T. A. meeting was held here Thursday night of last week. Fred Fagergren showed slide pictures. pic-tures. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hardy entertained en-tertained at a chicken supper at their home on Wednesday evening eve-ning of last week for their son, Wesley. A few close friends and relatives attended. A wedding reception was held here on the evening of Nov. 3rd for Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Winder, who were married Oct. 24th in the St. George L. D. S. Temple. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Winder of Springdale and Mrs. . Winder is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dutton of St. George. Dean W. Scow, commissary chief, U. S. N., is home visiting his mother, Mrs. A. T. Strunk He has completed 31 months of duty in the South Seas, the last being the Saipan invasion. He is now stationed at Balboa, Calif., and will return there on Nov. 25. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Crawford returned recently from a trip to Idaho visiting relatives. Word has been received by Mrs. Moses Gifford that her grandson has been wounded in action in Italy. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elias Gifford of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Malinda Dennett and daughter, Marie . returned last week from their trip to Salt Lake. Mrs. Geneva Johnson was quite ill the latter part of last week after having' been bitten twice by a black widow spider. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Olsen were hosts at a chicken supper for all Democrats of- this town on the night of the 7th. Our Mutual was turned into a farewell party the night of the 7th, for Wesley Hardy, who left last Thursday for Fort Douglas. His wife accompanied him to jSalt Lake City. |
