Show News from Our People In the Armed Services By MABEL JARVIS Returns to Post Pvt. George Andrus returned Wednesday to his post in Victoria, Kansas after spending ten days in St. George with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Andrus and other relatives. He is with the Photo Lab group of the Air force and says his work is most interesting inter-esting since photography is his chosen vocation. He graduated from Dixie college and attended the B. Y. U., Provo, before entering enter-ing military service. Ira fa f Seaman Turn beau gn Home Seaman Thorley Turnbeaugh is home on leave from the Navy, visiting his mother, Mrs. Margie Turnbeaugh in Washington. Two other Washington boys who have been home visiting, returned re-turned last Friday to their respective re-spective posts. They were: Seaman Sea-man Max Prisbrey, who has had a month's leave from the Navy to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Prisbrey and Pfc. Smith Prisbrey of the U. S. Army, who has spent a short furlough with his mother, Mrs. Zina Prisbrey. B IS ts SSg-t. Stirattoin Returns to Post SSgt. and Mrs. Albert Strat-ton Strat-ton returned last Friday to California, Cali-fornia, where Sgt. Stratton will resume his duties at Camp Roberts, Rob-erts, and Mrs. Stratton her employment em-ployment in Paso Robles. Accompanying Accom-panying them, to visit for several weeks, was her mother, Mrs. John Tanner of Washington. Pa Pa Pa Sfrt. Lee Iversori Visits Parents Sgt. Lee A. Iverson was home for four days last week at Mt. Trumbull to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Iverson. He had just completed one phase of his training at Camp McCoy, Wis., and figures he will soon be on active duty. Accompanying him, was h i s fiance, Miss Margaret Rotmen, of Monemin, Wis. This is her first view of mountain country. The Iversons spent one day on the West Rim of Grand Canyon, below be-low Tuweep Valley, while the couple were here. Pa Pa Ba Picture Tuesday's state papers carried a picture of a large number of Utahn's serving in the Pacific theatre of operations. Recognized by many who take the Tribune, as ne of the . group, was Pfc. Kenneth M. Ence of Santa Clara. There were boys from many parts of the state and three from Nevada, Nev-ada, who had assembled for the Utah-Nevada day special program. |
