Show HURRICANE Mrs. Thomas Ilinton Reporter Mrs. Chloe Beatty has returned from Pine, Arizona where she attended at-tended the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Martha Randall. She also visited relatives in Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona. The Cheer committee of the Y.E.S. D.U.P camp met at the home of Mrs. Fanny Sanders last Thursday, surprising her on her 63rd birthday anniversary. A very good lunch was served, it being a pot luck party. Mrs. Martin Sanders made and decorated a beautiful cake. It had 63 candles on it. The afternoon was spent with songs, readings and skits. Mr. and Mrs. John L. Heywood have bought the old Jesse Bliss home and are moving into it soon. They have been working at Tod Park, Tooele all summer. Dwight Hinton and Mr. and Mrs. George Imlay went to Salt Lake City on business Saturday. The Hurricane North ward Relief Society held their conference confer-ence Sunday, November 12. Pres Hortense Bradshaw was in charge. The Hurricane High school orchestra orch-estra went to Pioche Saturday night to play for a dance for the "Mine Owners Corporation". Due to the heavy snow storm, they did not get home until 7 a. m. Sunday morning. The Hurricane South ward is sponsoring a big day Friday, Nov. 17, for the purpose of getting money to build a chapel. They will have cattle and other livestock live-stock to auction, also, a bazaar where they will sell many useful use-ful articles. In the evening they plan to have a banquet and dance. Mrs. Clarence Bradshaw and son, John Clyde, spent Thursday and Friday in St. George visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cottam. |
