Hardy Reporter Mrs. William Hardy was at Eureka, Eur-eka, Nev., where, she was overseeing over-seeing the distribution of some family relics for her grandchildren, grandchild-ren, since the' death of their mother. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hardy and family of Homedale, Ida., were visitors this week at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brigham Hardy. They also visited vis-ited in Las Vegas with relatives, one of them being Lawrence Mc-Knight, Mc-Knight, who has just recently returned re-turned from the Pacific theatre of war, where he has spent the past three years. Mrs. Portia Roundy of California Cali-fornia was a recent guest at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hardy. Mrs. Brigham Hardy has been quite ill the past week, but is some improved at the time of writing. Mrs. Fred Brooks has been ill the past week. The ward bishopric occupied the time during Sacrament meeting meet-ing last Sunday, giving us some good advice and counsel. A piano duet was played by Afton Wilson and.Quinta Neilson. News has been received by relatives rela-tives of the birth of. a son 'to Sgt. and Mrs. Merlin Leavitt at the Mesquite hospital on Nov. 7th. This is their second son. Sgf. Leavitt is training at a Tampa, Fla., base. He expects to receive a furlough on Dec. 10th through the 25th. It will be the first Christmas he will have spent with his wife and family since their marriage, as he was inducted shortly thereafter. The Deacon's and their advisors enjoyed a weiner roast last Saturday. Sat-urday. A group of friends entertained at a birthday party on Monday evening for Mrs. Doris Sand-strom Sand-strom at her home. Harris Merrill who has employment employ-ment in northern - Utah, is home for a short visit. Pvt. Sheldon Gifford is home from his training base at Denver, Colo., to attend the services for his brother, Wlnfred, who was killed somewhere in the Pacific theatre of war. Mrs. Donna Loer is renting the home of her sister, Mrs. George Hardy, here. Mrs. Wayne Wilson entertained at a friendship shower last Thursday Thurs-day for Mrs. Ted Eves. The guest of honor received a beautiful beau-tiful baby crib. Some unique suggestions for Christmas gifts to be made were presented at Relief Society on Tuesday. Mi-, and Mrs. Eui'ene Ilenroirli are leaving Saturday for IIol-' brook, Ariz., where they will spend Thanksgiving with a daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Clora Keller and on to San Diego for Christmas with another daughter, Pearl. Enroute they will visit a son, Rodney, at Las Vegas. The Henroids recently received a telegram that another an-other daughter, Mrs. Wanda Smith had arrived safely in New York where she had gone by plane to attend the graduation of her husband, Ensign Bill Smith. He was a former student body president at the Hurricane high school. Mr. and Mrs. Podncy Webb were visitors here Sunday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Henroid.
