Show MESQUITE, Hev. Mrs. Daisy L. Reber Reporter Work commenced Monday, Dec. 27th on the Mesquite hospital. The town board are in charge of putting in partitions in the VVPA building. When that work is finished the building will be turned over to the County Hospital Hos-pital board, who will complete and equip it. Leonard Reber and John Jensen spent Tuesday in St. George buying materials for the building. The dance Christmas night was held at Bunkerville. It was a budget dance for both wards. A largo crowd spent an enjoyable evening. Mr. and Mrs. David Abbott of St. George are visiting at Mesquite Mes-quite with their daughter, Maur-ine. Maur-ine. MSgt. Owen Hughes of California Cali-fornia spent the Christmas holidays holi-days home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hughes. Robert Hortt has completed his boot training at Farragut, Ida., and Is spending the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hortt. Another son, Lorin Hortt, returned to his base, missing his brother by a few hours. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Leavitt of Las Vegas were visitors here on Christmas day. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Leavitt and family of Boulder City spent the week end here. The Primary was in charge of the Christmas Eve program. A pageant depicting the birth of Christ was given with the Pri-mary Pri-mary children furnishing the music. The children then danced for a while and Santa Claus brought each child some candy and nuts. |
