Show Seven Large Boxes of Hospital Supplies Shipped by Red Cross Seven large boxes of hospital supplies sup-plies were shipped to the Pacific area headquarters the first week in TWemher bv the Washinerton County Chapter of the Junior Red 'Cross, reports Mrs. R. C. Lund Jr., chairman. Acknowledgement Acknowl-edgement of the shipment has been made and appreciation expressed ex-pressed for the very fine assortment, assort-ment, says Mrs. Lund. Appreciation is also expressed by the Red Cross leaders for the cooperation of people of the county which have made the accumulation ac-cumulation and shipment of the articles so much needed today in military, hospitals. Packed in the seven boxes were 14 card table covers; 12 pairs of hospital shoes; 68 wash cloths; 24 bedside bags; 18 pan covers; 1 large afghan; amd boxes of books, puzzles and games. Every article was of a quality the county officers were proud to. be responsible for shipping, ship-ping, says Mrs. Lund, and the books were all good selections and in almost new condition. Also the games and puzzles were new and good. Besides the value of the articles which are contributed for these shipments, the officers appreciate the interest and response of the young people in assembling the items and their satisfaction in knowing they are helping to provide pro-vide for the hospital needs of the soldiers. |
