Show Leeds CCC Camp Hews Class In Dixie Last Thursday, September 9, a class in typewriting was started under the direction of the Educational Educa-tional Department 6f Company 585. The administrators of Dixie College kindly permitted the use of the typewriting facilities of their school, and have cooperated in every way to make the class a success, which is deeply appreciated appreciat-ed by the officers and men of Company Com-pany 585. The class in typewriting, which meets for two hours, twice a week and has an enrollment of twenty-five, is the first to be in-augerated; in-augerated; others are planned. Soft Ball Game Company 585 of Leeds won the game of soft ball played with the St. George Town Team, Sunday, September 12, by the narrow margin, mar-gin, of 23 to 22. Some of the spectators described the game as the "darndest ever", for the players play-ers became less and less serious as the game progressed; in some innings large scores were run up. Two bats were broken by Gross and Lawson, respectively. Two additional ad-ditional innings had to be played to obtain a winning score.
