"More interest is being shown this year than at any previous season," said Bryan Lund, president presi-dent of the game association. "The folders are going fast and we have more requests coming in all of the time. Anyone desiring these folders fold-ers to send to friends or relatives who might be interested in coming com-ing here to hunt, may get them at the News Office." Reference is made in the folder to the increase in license fees and an explanation is given by Commissioner Newell B. Cook. His statement is as follows: The Utah Legislature of 1937 increased the hunting license to its citizens 33 13; this increase also affects non-residents to the same extend. The money obtained from this raise is set aside solely for the betterment of range conditions, the purchase of lands, and the control of predators, with the idea of increasing this very popular sport in Utah and establishing our game herds on a permanent basis. Signed, NEWELL B. COOK, Commissioner. Hunting Season The hunting season will open on October 20 and will continue to Oct&ber 3C, bctl; dates inclusive.
