Show County Teachers To Hold Institute At Hurricane Announcement of October 1 and 2 as the dates for the Washington County Teacher's institute to be held at Hurricane, was made today to-day by Milton E. Moody, county school superintendent. The theme of the convention will center around the value of science and nature in the schools. The speakers have not been definitely decided upon, but it is expected by Superintendent Moody that a full corps of state school staff members and other educators educa-tors of the state will be present. "Present plans call for the meeting meet-ing to commence at 9 a.m. on Friday in the Hurricane High School auditorium and continue in this building for the day. The Relief society of Hurricane will provide the noon luncheon. It is hoped that the program will include in-clude an illustrated lecture by Prof. H. L. Reid. Saturday's meetings meet-ings will likely be held in the open in Zion Canyon and will culminate cul-minate in an open door program and games," Superintendent Moody said. -i |
