Of till number 34,936 were special uho permittees and guest:, 21,975 were at hotels and resorts. lr.9,-932 lr.9,-932 were campers. 1 47.578 were plcknickers. and 297,125 were transient tourists. Six hundred twenty-nine thousand, thou-sand, one hundred forty three came In automobiles, 10,310 by bus or rail lines, 8401 hikers, and 23.687 by other modes of travel. During the s;ime perl"'!
