Show Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Jacobsen exchange vows Coreena Sawyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Sawyer, and Dallas R. Jacobsen, son of Dallas E. Jacobsen and Eula Jacobsen, were married June 24 at the Glines Chapel. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The marriage ceremony was performed by Bishop John Millecam and the wedding march was played by Kay Lyn Holmes. A reception recep-tion honoring the couple followed the wedding ceremony. Coreena chose a white, floor-length gown of silk organza with appliqued lace flowers and pearl beads on the V-shaped V-shaped lace yoke bodice and skirt. The bottom ruffle of the skirt and chapel-length chapel-length train were pleated and edged with wide lace. Coreena's long fingertip finger-tip veil had a wide lace border with pearl beads, matching her dress. She carried a cascading bridal bouquet of fresh summer flowers of yellow rosebuds, blue carnations with long blue ribbon streamers. Standing in as matron of honor was Wendy S. Chase, sister of the bride. She wore a light yellow summer dress featuring a V-shaped lace yoke bodice and white ribbon belt with puffed mid-length mid-length sleeves. She carried a long-stemmed long-stemmed blue silk rose with blue ribbon rib-bon streamers. The other bridal attendants, atten-dants, Susan Brough and Margo Luck, both wore light blue summer dresses with puffed mid-length sleeves featuring featur-ing the same V-shaped lace yoke bodice and a blue satin cumberbund. They carried yellow silk roses with yellow ribbon streamers. Jennifer Sawyer, sister of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a light blue summer sum-mer dress with a blue satin cumber-bund cumber-bund and carried a white basket of summer flowers of blue, yellow and white. The bride's mother wore a light yellow summer dress trimmed with white lace. The groom's mother wore a blue gown of polyester voile with chiffon shoulder flounce. Both mothers wore corsages of blue, yellow and white carnations. The groom was attired in a blue tuxedo tux-edo trimmed in navy and was al tended tend-ed by bestman, Joe Hughes, also wearing wear-ing a blue tuxedo. Matthew Sawyer, brother of the bride, served as usher for the evening. Seated at the guest book were Dru Jacobsen and Kalliering Chew. Helping Help-ing at the gift tables were the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Slaugh. Gift bearers were April Murray, Mur-ray, Charily and Tara Miller. LaKita Oaks, aunt of the bride, and Karen and Sharon Neilson prepared (Ik- refreshments in the kitchen. Holly and Janeall Oaks were servers. The white, three-tiered wedding cake, made by Coreena's grandmother, grand-mother, Lurean Slaugh, and decorated decorat-ed by Myrna Mortenson, featured yellow roses and tiny blue ribbon bows, trimmed with lace icing and adorned by two blue satin wedding bells with a lace and silver heart on top. Kathleen Caldwell helped with the wedding decorations and flower arrangements. Dallas and Coreena are making their home in Jensen. |
