And the many windows and decks tie the home to its beautiful environment. "We don't get anything done. We go from window to window enjoying the scenery. We both love the house." Venna added: "We have so much fun watching the deer. Sometimes we watch a whole herd or just a doe and her fawn." Apart from the many windows on the main floor of the home an observatory atop the house allows Ivan to enjoy the scenery in every direction. The home's unique features include a rock conservation pit, stained glass entry, cathedral ceilings and a guest suite. The whole home is both elegant and practical. Though build of solid rock, the house took only six months to build. The architect, ar-chitect, Ken Lindway of Salt Lake City, worked closely with the Merrells to provide the Spanish style, energy efficiency ef-ficiency and compatibility with the surroundings that they wanted. i. t're ' ' .'-u?
