J Lifeguard awarded plaque and letter for saving life Vernal lifeguard, Kalene Hansen, was presented a plaque and a letter of commendation for saving a four-year-old boy's life at the Vernal Municipal Pool March 22. Miss Hansen pulled Chris Jensen, son of Dr. and Mrs. Lewis R. Jensen, from the pool as he went under the water unnoticed by his father.
