Mrs. Neiberger visited during the week with her father, Lewis Van Massey, who celebrated his 94th birthday on April 1. Mrs. Neiberger's daughter, Betty, and granddaughter, Sandra, celebrated their birthdays on March. 28 and 29. A son, Dr. John L. Johnson, wife, Marilyn and sons came from Sacramento, California to attend the Sesquicentennial Ball at the Salt Palace. They also had special tickets to attend meetings pertaining to their calling in their ward and stakes, (Sacramento, Fair Oaks Stake). Other highlights of the family gathering was being able to attend the Friday meeting, where Sister Beverly Campbell, sponsored by the Utah Association of Women, spoke at some length on the E.R.A. Following her talk, she answered questions from the audience and upon concluding was given a standing ovation. Mrs. Neiberger said it was a most enlightening and inspiring experience listening to Sister Campbell, who travels world-wide giving her talks and she was very appreciative of the audience's reaction. It had been some time since Mrs. Neiberger had been together with her daughter and son-in-law and son and daughter-in-law in the temple. She said it climaxed a beautiful day in her life and set the mood for her for the Saturday and Sunday April Conference and the 150th celebration. |
