The Uintah Utes tract team will compete com-pete with teams from Utah, Colorado and Wyoming in the Palisade Invitational Invita-tional in Grand Junction, Colorado, Saturday. Field events such as long jump, high jump, discus and shot put will begin at 9: 15 a.m. The first running event will begin at 9:45 a.m. Possible Uintah track and field men who will compete in the meet are: 100200-Rick Morton, Lynn Reynolds, Ken Page; 400-Kay Smuin, Joe Lance, Brian Long; 800-Kay Smuin, Ken Richens, Jerry Allred; 1600-Calvin Knight, Jerry Allred, Gordon Clark; 3200-Calvin Knight, Andy Nelson; 110 high hurdles-Ron Ellis, Lance Workman, Sterling Nelson ; 300 hurdles-Brian hurdles-Brian Long, Lance Workman, Sterling Nelson; long jump-Rick Morton, Lynn Reynolds, Lance Workman; pole vault-Scott vault-Scott Spaulding, Steve Asire; shot put- Ardin Freestone, Dave Emery, Daniel Troester; triple jump-Rick Morton, Kay Smuin, Gary Watkins; high jump-Ken jump-Ken Page, Ron Ellis and discus-Lance Workman, Roger Griffins, Ardin Freestone. Uintah will also compete in the 800, 400, and 1600 meter relays. The Uintah lineup for the meet may change due to how the Ute tracksters performed perform-ed in the Uintah-Tooele track meet, which was held Wednesday (yesterday) in Vernal. The Uintah Utes will take on Cyprus Pirates in Magna, Wedne: April 16 at 3:30 p.m. Uintah will b. ' Jordan on the road, April 23 and compete in the Craig Invitational, I 26. The Utes will host Murray, Tues April 29. The Brigham Young Univ ty Invitational is set for May 3. i Region Seven Sophomore Mee scheduled for May 1 and the Re' Seven Meet will be held at Murray School on May 8.
