Show Energy chief to visit here Secreatry of Energy Charles W. Duncan, Jr. will visit Utah on Thursday, Thur-sday, April 17 for a first-hand look at Utah's rich oil shale and tar sands deposits, Gov. Scott M. Matheson announced. "I am delighted that the secretary has accepted my invitation. With the president's priority program to achieve energy independence and to move ahead to develop synthetic fuels, this visit is a major step in both directions," the governor said. Preliminary plans call for a breakfast break-fast meeting between Gov. Matheson and Secretary Duncan at 7 a.m. at Hotel Utah. Following breakfast, they will fly to Vernal, returning a few hours later. |
