Show Devils Will Meet Wasatch In State Quarterfinals Quarterfinal games for the State Football Championships have been set throughout the state and Moab again will play the "second place team from Region Nine, Wasatch, Friday in Moab. Wasatch finished the season with a 4-1 mark in region play but dropped drop-ped their last encounter to Morgan last week. First place team in Region Re-gion Nine, Grantsville, will play Delta. The Red Devils ended the season on a strong winning show against East Carbon Friday during dur-ing their annual Homecoming Home-coming and remained undefeated un-defeated in Region Ten play with a 5-0 mark. Wasatch is a strong team with good defense allowing only 34 points while scoring 93. The Devils ammased 186 while holding the opponent oppon-ent sto Just4(L Game time is set for 1:30 Friday in Moab. Other teams involved in the Class 2-A tournament tour-nament are Manti, Dixie, Richfield and either Millard, Mil-lard, Hurricane or Cedar City. Prices for the game are under the State Activities Ac-tivities jurisdiction and will be as follows: $1 for students, high school, junior high and elementary, elemen-tary, and $1.75 for adults. Cresswell scored two Touchdowns early in the game to help the Devils to a 44-7 stomping of the Vikings of East Carbon. The Devils entertain the Wasps of Wasatch in a quarterfinal game to be played in Moab on Friday of this week.' |
