Show Household Workers Reports Due by Jan. 31, 1977 Quarterly wage reports and social security contributions for household workers are due by January 81, according to John Wainwright, social security sec-urity district manager- in Grand Junction. People who pay a household worker $50 or more in cash wages in any 3-month calendar calen-dar quarter must send a report of wages, along with the social security contribution, contribu-tion, to the Internal Revenue Service within one month after the end of the quarter. Quarters are January -February-March, Apr.-May-June, July-Augiist-September,, and October - November - December. Decem-ber. Wage reports and social security contributions for the last quarter of 1976 are due by January 31, 1977. People who employ household house-hold workers can file the wage report on a form available at any Internal Revenue Service office-"Employer's Quarterly Tax Return for Household Employees (for Social Security)." Secur-ity)." The 1976 social security contribution for a household employee is 5.85 percent of covered wages. The employer pays a matching amount. Social security contributions contribu-tions help build retirement, disability, survivors, and Medicare protection for IV2 million household workers and their families.
