Grand County Schools were dismissed Wednesday, December 22. The students were excited while waiting for the Christmas Season to begin. be-gin. Many students were leaving leav-ing town. Some of the students stu-dents remarked, ' "It doesn't seem like Christmas without snow." But in spite of no snow, everyone enjoyed the holiday. School resumed on January 3, 1977, with a big rush. Students are working hard to get all their work finished before the end of the quarter in two weeks. DRAMA PLAY Sometime during the month of January, the high school drama classes of Grand County Coun-ty High School are going to present "Gaite De Paris." It is a full-length pantomine for the entire evening's entertainment entertain-ment of comedy, movement and dance. The music is by Offenbach and contains two famous themes, "The Barcarolle" Barcar-olle" and the "Can Can." The pantomine focuses around a cabaret set in Paris group of elite ladies of the town are trying to get the dancers not to display so much ankle. It was immoral at that time for a lady to show her ankle, and these dance girls were showing their whole legs. This comic performance will provide an enjoyable evening for all ages. ACT TEST Seniors who are planning to attend college that have not yet taken the ACT test will have one more chance. ? The deadline for the registration regis-tration of this test is January 10, 1977. Registration forms may be picked up from Dr. Jim West. The test, provided by the Utah State University if Extension Office, will be ad- ) ministrated by Dr. West on February 5, 1977. i |
